I did not know Melissa as I had used a different realtor when I bought the home. I contacted my other realtor first, but they thought what I wanted was too high and did not come by to see the quality of the rehab. I looked around the neighborhood and saw that Melissa was selling properties nearby that gave precedence to the price I was seeking. The market was moving fast, so some sold properties had not had their sales prices noted yet. She ran comps and estimated recent sales prices to find out that my price was not out of line. Although I did have to reduce the price $10k to sell the home, it sold pretty quickly. She and Jack were professional in all regards. As I have sold over 100 properties around Chicago, Indianapolis and Copenhagen , I have used many realtors over the years and these two are Top Notch. You will have no regrets using them for a sale or purchase.

Melissa Shuten worked with us first as sellers and then as buyers. She was conscientious and respectful of our needs, including helping us with a heating/air conditioning issue we had with the house after we moved in. I think her only shortcoming was a lack of knowledge regarding obtaining insurance for a house with asbestos siding. Melissa listens well and works hard to ensure success. I would definitely recommend her.

Extremely easy to get along with and worked with us because we had several dogs. We needed time to be able to organize and go somewhere if she had a showing. She didn’t insist that the house be “show ready”. People would have to understand that we were still living in the house, and trying to pack.
